Rise and Shine! As outdoor weddings continue to be on-trend, couples are finding new ways to welcome the sunshine into their events. Are you an early riser, or simply have a fondness for breakfast food? A brunch is the perfect setting for your wedding reception.
Breakfast crowd-pleasing food
Breakfast, after all, has some of the most crowd-pleasing foods associated with it: waffles, bacon, eggs, fruit, the list goes on and on! And it’s always fun to have an excuse for a fun breakfast cocktail like a mimosa, bloody mary, or even an adult milkshake. Or maybe if it’s a colder morning, ask the bartenders to provide Bailey’s for coffee and hot chocolate.

With a brunch reception, there are plenty of options for customization for your guests, ensuring everyone gets something they like.
Omelet Bar
An omelet bar with a menu of suggested combinations named for each member of the couple? Or maybe even some suggested omelets pointing to a location that’s important to you and your spouse to be. Denver omelet, anyone?

A waffle or pancake buffet can allow guests to choose their favorite toppings. A bagel spread can lend itself to all sorts of flavor combinations for your guests.
Carving Stations
Carving stations can also be a nice touch with some breakfast ham.
A wedding reception centered around brunch also lends itself to some fun favors. Ideas can include a coffee mug filled with a bag of local beans, mini boxes of cereal, or small bottles of maple syrup.
Just because you had a daytime reception, doesn’t mean you need to stop hanging with your guests. Whether you’re going to continue with a planned activity or let guests go off on their own, it’s always nice to give options.
One option is to take guests on a tour of your city. Rent a fun form of transportation like an open-air bus or a trolley and take in some of the popular sites. Big sports fans? Rent a box for a local game or get everyone cheap tickets and sit up top! If you and your new spouse just want some alone time after, give your guests a list of fun suggestions to do by themselves.
